Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on October 06, 2022We stayed at this campground for work purposes. We choose this location because it was the closest to the work site. Was overall a lovely place to spend 2 weeks. If ever in the area again, we would definitely stay again without hesitation.
What we loved:
*Quick and easy check in.
*Quiet and peaceful during the weekdays. This campground was mostly empty from Sunday afternoon to Friday night. It seems to be a popular local campground for weekenders. With that said, even as a full campground people were respectful of the 11:00 quiet time.
*Walking and biking trail around the lake. The 4.1 mile trail around the lake is paved and an easy flat ride/walk. There are off-shoots for mountain bikers.
*Camp host was very nice and available. We experienced severe weather during our stay requiring shelter. The camp host started early notifying every camper of the location of the storm and where to seek shelter. She wanted to make sure we were all safe. We did suffer some hail damage from the storm.
*Walmart and Tractor Supply are very close for last minute supplies and propane.
*Friendly people.
*Felt safe - local PD drives through regularly.
*Free showers on 7 minute timer (plenty of hot water)
*On site potable water and sewer dump
What can be improved:
* There is only 1 bathhouse with 3 shower stalls that I would categorize as "adequate in a pinch". On the weekend it was in heavy use. It would be beneficial to update this building and add more shower stalls.
* More maintenance to sites needing leveling and upgrades to picnic tables.

(July 2022) - Well-kept county park. Several sites on the water but they book up quickly. Great place to head for a relaxing weekend. The walking path around the lake was a good surprise (around 4 miles!) and some minor hills. The park was quiet the entire time we were there - nothing terribly rowdy. Would have been interesting to see some of the ski events when they are held here.

Very clean, quiet park. The fee was $22.00 but there is a $10.00 fee to book online. They prefer you book online as there is no one here to collect fees. We got a site right on the water and I was fishing within thirty minutes of set up. Because it was mid-week and in mid October, the camp ground was pretty vacant. We enjoyed our one night stay.
