I found the review on this site and drove out and was very pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. Picked the site close to bathroom where there is shower and it was easy to level my trailer. Few campers made it feel private and there is plenty of walking areas as well as wildlife to see or bird watch near the river. Camp hosts excellent. Definitely will use this campgrounds when wanting to stay close to Kalmath Falls

Set amongst ponderosa pines this is a really pleasant campground. The directions we saw weren't clear. It is past both the church and the post office and has a very clear sign right by the road. Unpaved but smooth road coming in.

This is a very clean, quiet spot and all for only $10 a night. Would stay here again.

Keno Camp, about 14 miles from Klamath Falls, was the perfect spot to spend a few days in preparation for heading to the Crater Lake area. We were able to stock up on groceries, fill propane tanks, do laundry and take hot showers. This is a small, utility-owned CG with 26 sites, 1 group site, and dump/water. It’s adjacent to the Klamath River and has a boat ramp. Due to algae blooms there’s no swimming. The campground is configured as two half-circles off the entrance road: sites 1-11 in the first loop, 12-26 in the second. The heated bathroom with hot showers is in the second loop and that’s where most campers were. Small dumpsters and water spigots are scattered throughout. We took the first site on the right (#2) in the first loop and had the entire loop to ourselves. Numerous sites will accommodate big rigs. The CG is locked from 9:00 pm until 6:00 am. by the on-site hosts, who were very friendly and helpful.

This is a lovely park with lots of bird song. A doe and two fawns appeared most afternoons. You can easily get a several mile walk in by circling through the CG and going down to the river. If you can trust your kids to stay out of the water, it’s a great place to turn them loose on bicycles. Nibley’s Restaurant, in Klamath Falls, was a pleasant surprise: outdoor patio, delicious food, pastries for sale.

Wow, a hidden gem.... $10 a night, potable water, very clean and spacious restrooms and showers (wheelchair accessible). You pick your own site - all have picknick table and fire ring - there is also a day use area for $3 a day, very spacious with huge children playground. You camp only steps away from the river including a boat ramp. Brand-new garbage containers through out and a dump station. Last bot not least - extremely nice and accommodating camp hosts (provided free of charge power for charging wheelchair batteries). Peaceful, relaxing and only 3 other campers .... we loved it 😊🖒🖒

Hubby and I were spending a few weeks just free styling around Oregon, no plan, no reservations, trying to stay cool and away from the fires until our scheduled appt in NorCal on Sept 1.
We had visited crater lake and were looking for dry camping on a river at a higher elevation in the area when I found Keno Camp!
$10/night-dry camping. Picnic table and grill/fire pit at each site and spigots-can’t attach hose :( -would have been nice to fill-but this is one of the only negatives for this dry camp.
There are 27 total sites. Only 3 were occupied when we arrived. The second loop seemed to have bigger sites. Getting level was a challenge for us-38 ft class A-in site 23. It’s a drive in site and we had to put 4 high snap levelers under rear tires and under jacks.
I would suggest 22, 25 or 26 for big rigs from the loop we stayed. Not sure Re 1-11 sites.
Site 27 is a neat group site halfway down the hill to the boat ramp. Not sure what it rents for, but it’s a cool little spot.
Lots of areas to walk. Dogs and I easily got miles in each day walking down to the river by the boat ramp and then to the dam
The dam is a great spot to see birds-pelican, seagulls, a few different kinds of ducks, crane, heron. Before sunset they start gathering on a floating log roll fence near the dam that crosses the river.
The area is full of animal life. Hubby and I kayaked upstream-it’s between 2 dams so very little current in this spot. Hubby took depth finder on his kayak and it averaged around 10-16 ft deep. Stay a couple feet from banks and you’ll be fine (we had pedal drive kayaks with rudders so made sure we knew depth). You can go on both sides of the little island you encounter as you pedal upstram. Plenty deep enough.
There were quite a lot of markings on his fish finder as well. We didn’t fish this time.
There were deer all along the river’s edges, doe and bucks. We heard and saw tons of turtles, dragon flies, and of course birds-everywhere birds.
We kayaked it twice in the late afternoon and neither time did we see another person on the river. So peaceful!
Met a lovely couple who showed up on our 3rd day-Scott and Tammy-who also found this place because of campendium! Only a few campers came and went during our 5 days.
Devan, camp host, and her hubby were so nice. Always happy to visit but left us to ourselves. Rounded and waved. Felt very safe and the bathroom was the cleanest I think I’ve ever seen! Can’t speak to water pressure temp as I didn’t use facilities but soo clean!
Day use area had some playground equipment, some swings and the coolest bbq fire pits I’ve seen! I thought they were wells so I had to check! They have a big mesh rack on a cable that can raise and lower it over the fire bed. I thought that was so cool!
We did have to turn around at the dump station-it’s on the right hand side as you drive toward exit. Devan said they are putting a turnaround loop solution in to address this next year.
They are putting in new picnic tables and doing some trimming as well. It’s an older park and there is very little in Keno, although I hear the bar has good food. Klamath Falls is the nearest town for real supplies and it’s a 25-30 min drive. Well worth it if you’re looking for a moment of peace. Oh yeah, blazing fast internet and quite a few OTA channels!

This campsite is close to Klamath Falls, Lava Beds National and Crater Lake. The sites are large and easy to get into. There is a dump station with water. This is dry camping. Lovely lake with a boat launch and great place to fish or kayak.
The only negative is that there is a very fine dust that is difficult to keep out of your camper.

This was a very quiet, clean campground. We were on the first loop, no other campers. 2nd loop was 80% fun. Lots of space to explore down to the water, and it is truly a bird lover’s paradise! We only wish we had our kayaks to get out on the water.
Showers were great, clean, heated restroom, very nice.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Keno Camp. It was myself, my husband and our 2 teens, tent camping. We were so pleased to see the bathrooms-so clean! free hot showers! heated building! There were only 3 other campsites that had folks staying, however, we rarely saw them. This is a great place to stay if you are looking to explore southern Oregon. While we were there, we went to Crater Lake, Rogue River gorge, and did the zipline adventure at Crater Lake Ziplines on hwy 140. We will go again with our kayaks and paddleboards as there are several lakes nearby to explore, not to mention, the Klammath River borders the campground and this part of the river is calm. Easy paddling and lots of birds to watch. The town of Keno is really close by, there is a small grocery store with all the essentials, and the Whoa Tavern is great! Good beers and good food with an outdoor area where you can be with your kids.

I am a car camper, but needed to find a camp site to deal with some work and take showers. For $20 a night, I got a spacious site and a table where I can work on my laptop, a decent Internet connection, and most importantly a HEATED bathroom. That is worth a million on a cold spring evening. It's a 15 min drive to Klamath Falls where you can get everything, and the campground itself is also tranquil and clean. Highly recommend!
