“one of North Georgia’s hidden gems”
Smith-Gilbert Gardens is a premier metro Atlanta botanical garden and learning center. It is an established collectors garden with more than 3,000 species of plants, many unique to American gardens. Having grown through the years, the Gardens stand out as an exceptional blend of art, history and horticultural, all creating a tranquil respite of reflection and enjoyment. The Garden also offers educational programs for both children and adults and includes topics such as beekeeping, rock wall building, Bonsai gardening, caring for ferns, perennial flower beds, plein air painting classes, and a whole lot more.
We've toured the children's garden, spied on the koi, read magical stories, and examined ladybugs. So much to do here with kids!
