This campground is very very crowded. Granted, we were here over the 4th of July so it was full but the sites are so close together its ridiculous. As I sit here, there is another camper literally 10 ft from my picnic table. The people who own it are not very nice and they throw rules at you as though you are 13. The vibe is ridiculous and uncomfortable. Also most of the sites have full time owners with tacky additions to their campers so its more like a mobile home park than a campground.

We enjoyed our long weekend at Red Apple Campground. There are tons of seasonal campers and we found them to be pleasant and inviting. The people who run the campground are super helpful for recommendations of things to do locally. The grounds and facilities are the cleanest and best maintained of any campground we have visited.
If you’re looking for wooded seclusion, this campground is not it. If you’re looking for a great location, nice amenities, and meeting some neighbors, you’ll like it here.
