Car Town

Car Town is exactly what its name leads you to believe -- a neighborhood full of streets with names like V-8, Cadillac, Chrysler, Plymouth, Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford. In other words, the perfect neighborhood for Dale to learn to love racing. Ralph and his wife Martha raised their five children, of which Dale was third and the first son, in Car Town. Ralph converted the building behind the house into his garage, so he could build and work on his race cars. Martha still lives in the family home, and Ralph's garage is still out back.
