“Hand-made motel in the Mojave Desert”

Mojave Sands is a 5 room desert motel located in Joshua Tree, California. Built in 1952, it was purchased in 2002 and gutted. The bones were kept, but it underwent a total renovation. The doors, windows, gates, and furniture were all designed and built on site. Each room has a private patio with benches and fountain, a fridge/freezer, coffee maker & grinder, toaster, library, typewriter with paper, bose sound dock, and the obligatory record player with an assortment of records for your listening pleasure.

Nothing short of amazing. The whole place is a magical little retreat. My one hilarious complaint is that a cricket somehow made its way into my room at night and it's singing was a little tough to sleep through. Don't worry, however, the records, the amazing shower and soaps and outdoor space made up for it and more.

The kingdom of sand and stone!

The room is based on warm colors and cozy decoration capable to relax and calm down!
The living room makes you feel like home and you easily get some rest on these comfortable sofas.
The kitchen provides everything someone needs in order to make coffee or cook.

Although the climate in the area is warm all the spaces provide shading and especially the wood shed!

The Mojave Sands was the perfect choice for our stay in California!
