Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on May 24, 2021We stayed here in July 2016 on our very first few nights of full-timing. What a great place to start the adventure! We arrived on a Friday afternoon and had the entire campground to ourselves. The road in is not bad and the campground consists of a loop with 7 paved back-in sites, each with a fire ring and picnic table. There are also vault toilets and a non potable water well.
There was a registration card that we filled out and put in the box. About once a day the sheriff would drive through, give a wave, and check the box. There is a really great fishing hole about a quarter mile from the campground. We walked down there a few times and saw a couple people come to fish throughout the week. We found the sites to be somewhat unlevel, but this was also our first time boondocking so we may have just not been very good at leveling yet.
Verizon 4G was ok unboosted, quite good boosted.

Caution-no sign says Ronsheim anywhere. Roads where ok. We are 19”x2. We like to boondock, dry camp, and this is a gem for that. Black top spaces, picknic table, fire ring, trash can (with a very loud raccoon dumping them at night) 😫. Verizon had 2 bar, At&t had 4 bars. 😄 3 close by towns, but quit far to a Walmart. Nice walking trails/equestrian trails, and several ponds show up on X-hunt. Closest is 1/4 of a mile. None for swimming, just fishing, and Herping. There are only 7 spots with lots of space. The water pump it broken. The vault toilets need to be pumped badly. We did not use them. No dump station. History buffs-short drive to Custard’s birthplace (statue, info board and a museum open some Saturday. Cadiz has a nice library, drugstore, and hardware....We have been here a week at the end of June 2019. Bring Repel, fly paper....

This campsite was a very nice little oasis. Each site had a driveway, picnic table and fire pit. Ground is a bit hilly so if you’re camping in a tent you may slide down in your tent in the middle of the night lol One of the sites was quite level but it started to rain and the others had some trees nearby to tie our tarp to, to keep us dry.
Road is paved to the campground and is very quiet and the grounds are kept very well. The bathrooms were a bit dirty but overall great place to camp.
It has some great walking trails or for horseback riding. There is also a nice pond and dam right next to the campsite.

Small campground with paved sites, bathroom and garage cans. Overall the campground is good. I have stayed with loud neighbors but most nights alone or with quite people. Sites are all paved but very uneven, Have picnic tables, and access to garbage cans. There are walking trails and a small lake behind the sites. Cell service is fine. Overall it’s a good place to stay particularly since it’s free.

We stayed here 10/11 – 10/14/20. The campground has a total of seven sites and was free to stay in. There are receptacles for dumping waste water out of a basin, trash cans, and vault toilets. There is a hike to a dam that starts from the campground as well. The campground was quiet when we stayed even though it was mostly occupied. There were only two sites available when we arrived. Campers must register upon arrival at the kiosk located on the outside of the restrooms.

This was a great place to spend a day or 2 to rest. I was there with my Honda Accord and it’s all paved with grassy campsites. There’s Ronsheim on one side of the forest and 7 campsites and then on the other side of the forest up Camp Rd there is another, bigger campground called Trailriders with about 20 spots. I was there over the weekend and it was mostly quiet and there are people who come out to ride their horses on the trail. Vault toilets with no other amenities but a dollar general is about 15 minutes away. I have AT&T and only had one bar of 4G
