Wonderful campground with fun, friendly people and very clean bathrooms. We stayed in the tent camping area and were pleased with our experience. We biked easily from the campground all around the island. Recommended!

Expensive campground ($6 for parking then $26 for tent site) but it was VERY clean and definitely some of the best campground showers I have ever experienced. We did have to fend off several raccoons while making dinner, walking, and checking in. Overall, it was a quiet, pleasant stay.

Great spot to camp on Jekyll Island. We did a bike ride on the loop bike trail around the island and visited the Turtle hospital. Campground was great and people were friendly. Plenty of space., although you are close enough that you get to see all your neighbors.

Some tight spaces so ask ahead. Beautiful park with characteristic tall trees and Spanish moss within biking to driftwood beach.

Very clean campsites with easy access to all Jekyll Island amenities. The shower house was always clean with an ample supply of hot water! There is a pet fee BUT we found the entire island to be quite pet friendly. You can even take your dog to the local pizza place and eat on the porch. There is also a fee to enter the island but once you do there is really no reason to leave. It was a little pricy and does have a 2 night min on weekends but it is so convenient it is worth a few more dollars a night. All in all we enjoyed our stay and are planning to bring family back next year.

I dont think there are any other places to stay on Jekyll Island, an although this isn't ideal as far as privacy goes, it's in a beautiful place. We had full hook ups, good internet, the park is really quiet and there's a great sense of community (holiday decorations and mailboxes at individual spots).

Well managed, clean, crowded as only place on island for RV camping. Busy weekend with lots of smoky campfires and noisy neighbors. Owners tried to police the situation and run a good C/G, but they were very busy with spring break campers.

Island visiting was wonderful, good restaurants, beaches, golfing and tourist services.

Campground is lovely, treed with live oaks dripping with spanish moss and sites comfortably spacious with full hookups. Perfect launching point to explore Jekyll Island with it's endless paved bicycle paths and gorgeous beaches, especially the iconic Driftwood Beach just down the road. Great community of winter guests with weekly activities anyone can join including potlucks and jam nights in their newly built indoor community hall. Campground downsides include lots of leaf litter harbouring ticks and neighbouring campfire smoke hangs heavy in the air especially on weekend evenings. Acorns fall regularly from above, banging loudly on RV rooftops. Campground has a bird sanctuary with regularly filled bird feeders that constantly attract cardinals, black-capped chickadees, tufted titmouse, mourning doves and dozens of squirrels. Comfort stations are well-maintained and laundry is on site. Excellent savings on the nightly rate with a month-long stay: we stayed in Nov-Dec 2016 and found it quiet but heard that they sometimes have trouble with rowdy campers in the summertime. Island grocery store is more of a general store/tourist shop - stock up on groceries on the mainland before you take the causeway to Jekyll Island - costs $6 each time per vehicle or you can buy an annual pass.

Basically not too bad. Whatever considering that it is a state Park it is highly overpriced. They did not mention that it already costs $10 to reach the campground (+40 per night). They do not give any kind of military discounts at all. Also the bath house is on the lower end of the scale. On the other side I have to mention that Jekyll Island is very pretty and also the campground itself is OK, the spots are not really seperated tho. The Staff is very friendly and helpful.

I would recommend to go a few miles south tho and visit a State Park in Florida. There you wont get cable or wifi, therefore its way cheaper and the spots are usually way more private.

The sites are pretty and under a canopy of pines and oaks. Sites are pretty close together but not the tightest.
All gravel/sand/dirt sites and roads. You're super close to all the Jekyll Island activities and sights.
