“The last man standing”

ahn's Family Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlor was an old-fashioned ice cream parlor and restaurant with locations in the New York City area and Miami, Florida, and was famous for its huge Kitchen Sink Sundae. Only the Jahn's located in Jackson Heights, Queens is still operating. In November 2007, one of the last two remaining Jahn's, in Richmond Hill, closed. Only the Jahn's located at 81–04 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights, Queens is still operating. It can be reached most easily with the #7 train to the 82nd St. station, or the E, F, R, or M train to the Roosevelt Ave. station. In addition to its huge Kitchen Sink Sundae, other popular ice cream treats included the Boilermaker, the Awful Awful, the Suicide Frappe', Screwball's Delight, the Joe Sent Me and more. The "Flaming Desire" came to the table with an alcohol soaked sugar cube on fire and five scoops of ice cream. The 2012 menu still boasts The Kitchen Sink that will feed eight and costs $51.95. The Banana Royal comes with 3 large scoops of ice cream, a whole banana, hot fudge, whipped cream and several maraschino cherries at a cost of $8.95. One of these is easily enough for two people. Some of the other concoctions are Super Duper, Shissel, Bombshell, Tall In The Saddle, Flaming Desire and Brooklyn Kibitzer.
