“Beautiful Waterfalls in Ithaca!”
Experience one of Ithaca's secret waterfalls this summer, a great place to stop and enjoy a picnic lunch or just relax with a good book! With a 150ft cascading fall, watch Fall Creek’s final plunge to Cayuga Lake. With a drop of 150ft and width of 175ft, Ithaca Falls is the region’s most powerful and most impressive. By 1817, a half-dozen mills were operating here, their ruins are still visible on the south bank. The plunge pool is famous among anglers for lake-run trout and salmon. Easy trail, with the best view of the falls from the brdige over Lake Street or the foot path adjacent to the creek. The Trail is open year-round.
Reviews
My family and I went here last summer. There were only like 3 or 4 groups of people. Which made the place really serene and peaceful. The trail was not that difficult so everybody had an easy time going here. This place is the perfect spot for those who would just like to chill and relax. The water was nice and refreshing, too! Bring your lunch basket with you and have a nice meal with your loved ones by this amazing falls.
If you're coming to Ithaca to see the falls, you can't miss Ithaca Falls. While these falls tend to be more trafficked than some of the rest, there's a reason. Decent swimming opportunities too!
Ithaca Falls!!!! Fantastic place to visit and relax! Stand below the beautiful waterfalls and watch the water's strength fall.
The park is gorgeous all around, and the trails lead you to a great path through nature.
Its is great to visit with your family and friends.
The falls rush down a formation of natural stone steps, cascading into a pond. It’s just a short walk from the public parking lot, too.
We think a trip here is one of the best things to do in Ithaca.
It is taped off currently due to construction. We walked around the tape. It was a decent fall. Not extra special.
