This is a fantastic spot for families with early elementary aged kids. The exhibits rotate periodically to keep it fresh and interesting. Definitely a great family spot in Ithaca!
Such an awesome place to bring your kids for a day! It's incredibly hands-on complete with a "science playground" where you can understand weather patterns and geology by running up and down a playground. It also holds the famous ball-machine that stands roughly 30 ft. high. It's worth it just to go here and press the lever and watch a ball make its journey down. Additionally, they really make an effort to rotate exhibits so families nearby can continually enjoy the science center. Don't miss out on the astronomy exhibit and touch + feel room on the second floor. If you're looking for an evening ordeal or something a little less overtly educational, hit the AWESOME mini golf course in the back. Starting next spring there will be "science content" to go with every hole!
