Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on July 22, 2021This is an older campground, or it not it looks it, that is behind a growing hotel complex. Construction of the new building is evident when you drive in and go to the temporary office.
The people at check-in are very professional and helpful. The process was a bit slow because the facilities are quite busy.
The campground is in a scrub pine forest and there isn’t a lot of privacy provided by the trees. The roads in the campgrounds are dirt as are the sites for the RV’s. Most have full hookups which all work fine.
You are met at the office by hosts that provide the way to your campsite and then explain the rules. They did a good job.
The laundry, as described by my wife, is pitiful with inadequate space and machines, and one of the two washers not working. The bathrooms and showers were dirty and a mess.
Apparently this park is popular with the ATV group with ATV’s coming and going from morning to evening. Also it is okay for kids to ride their ATV’s through the park where they play on them for hours at a time. Lots of dust kicked up each day. Very noisy. Also as the facility is a short distance from HWY 20, a major north/south highway, that adds to the noise of the park. It does seem to settle down, however, around 9:30 pm.

Nice location and camp ground. Bathroom maintenance could improve. Few dogs walking without leash/owner during the early hours of the morning - no good RVers. Friendly staff.

We had a hard time finding an overnight spot close to the west entrance of Yellowstone. This place was close. Beautiful setting. Wifi did not work, but that’s usually the case.
I would definitely go back.

Last minute decision to go thru Yellowstone on return trip and I found a slot here. We were just in the parking lot spaces and really didn’t take advantage of the place. Nice and clean and seemed to be other things to do.
Wifi worked (one of the few). Only down side was water had been tested as e-coli positive at some point so had to be careful there. Desk said it had recently tested clean, but health dept hadn’t released yet.

Too expense for the amenities. Campground has 92 sites with 2 toilets and 2 small showers for men and women each. Get in line. No hand soap in men's bathroom for 2 days, although they say they are closed for cleaning between 11am and 1 pm daily. Missed soap? No TV and no evening Wifi. Said the squirrels eat the cables. My squirrels don't eat my cable at home. The good. Set in small pines trees with full hookups and level sites. Everything is expense around Yellowstone.

We had high hopes for staying here but the minute we got there we found out there was E.Coli in the water(maybe send an email letting the guests know before checking in) and the power at our site wasn’t working. We moved sites and it was nice enough but not great. Small bathroom/showers that were cleaned daily but they somehow always missed putting soap in the dispensers (they were out for 3 days before someone put a note up asking for soap. Just seem more interested in running their resort than the campground.

First the good: the place is clean. Close to a west Yellowstone, 30 min if you drive slow and minutes to the Henry’s Fork. I had to work and found the park WI-FI to be sufficient, 10 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload. Hotspot off my Verizon was even better 31Mbps download and 9Mbps upload. There are trees for some shade. During the week the place was pretty quite in the park but I bet it’s significantly louder during the weekend as island Park is a destination side by side and motorbike location. Now the bad: spots are close together but as I’ve said before, what do you expect from an RV park. The road noise from the highway is non stop. The place is also a bit on the pricey side and I am not sure what the “resort fee” is in addition to the price for a spot.

The pictures shown are extremely outdated this resort is bran new stat of the art and gorgeous
We enjoyed sawtelle and the proximity to Yellowstone and price are great. We played horseshoes and used WiFi from our tent site. It doesn’t feel rustic as it is close to highway. Also the water is not potable as they had a recent fecal indicator. They did provide bottled water.
