Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on August 20, 2021I forgot that I needed to make rez for a site at Yellowstone until about a month before we left home. Needless to say, there were no openings in the usual places. I started looking farther out from West Yellowstone and found Wild Rose with openings. no reviews on Campendium so took a chance. Folks in the office and restaurants are pleasant. They are young adults. Haven't seen an older adult yet, but the kids are doing a good job.The spots are very close together, barely enough room for slides on both side out without infringing on the neighbor. Full hook up, laundry but only 1 each. Park is right on Henry's Lake and there are boats, canoes, and kayaks available for rent. Wifi is good. Restaurant on site, limited menu but good food. Convenience store and arcade for the kids.
Would i come here again? maybe, if i didn't get my act together and needed a place to stay.

The people that ran it were very pleasant and helpful. The campground sites were Very small and couldn’t accommodate our 29’ trailer, even with no slides out.
They did let us move but it was so uneven even with proper level system it was extremely hard to level. The septic was high so wouldn’t drain.
The place was very trashy and we were looking at an old tractor trailer in the brush across the small dirt road.
There are a lot of permanent people with rigs and area very unkempt. They also had quite a few rental trailers that were so close together they grass was growing up all around them.
Yes, there is a lake but again, very trashy area.
If they would put a bit of time into fixing the place up it would be so much nicer.

Price reflects FHU, overgrown, fairly level, 30 amp site near the road. Best thing here is the proximity to Yellowstone when other venues are full. Beautiful scenery on the lake but we didn't see it because we were crammed in-between other campers: so close we couldn't put out our awnings. This is essentially a fishing camp and I think their biggest income/focus comes from renting cabins. Lots of junk lying around, grass & weeds growing up between several empty trailers. People working here were friendly and helpful to the best of their ability. Only 1 W/D available. Traffic noise was irritating during the day but quieted down at night. When we weren't visiting Yellowstone, we rode our bikes around Henry's Lake which was quite pleasant. On-site cafe with odd hours was pricey but good. Hot tub needed cleaning. Wi-fi was useless at our location. AT&T was good and Verizon was adequate. We had some vile neighbors a couple of times. Won't go back here, we'll boondock if we have to.

We did get a site when everything was full. Be prepared that the sites are small. 30 amp Service only along the road. Not a very attractive camp, certainly not a Resort. The dump spots were backwards or miss appropriated. This site is in need of lots of TLC. We moved on when we could. I would be careful leaving your pets out, we had a Coyote run through our site.

It was off season (late April) so nothing was open here, such as restaurant, store, boats etc. This was to be expected but the cost was quite high for a run down place to park. The one bathroom that was open was dirty and didn't have soap. The toilet had been overflowing and I had to plunge it in order to use it. I would not recommend coming here if you have any other options. on a side note, our friends also stayed and they said they were charged $76. Maybe it is nicer during the peak of summer?

The only resort about this place is the ridiculous price. We stayed here despite the bad reviews (which are not wrong) because we made late reservations for Yellowstone and anything decent was booked. Our site was a spit of brown grass and dirt with a bit of gravel mixed in. We were smashed so close together that it took a bit of maneuvering as close to the hookups as possible just to get our awning down.
Wifi is a joke. Don’t bother.
It seems to be run entirely by high school kids and they ride around in a golf cart all day. The property is dirty and dusty and no ones takes care of it. Thought about renting a boat from their marina to go out on Henrys Lake but the boats were old and trashy.
They have a restaurant and “bar” on site but the office kids gave us misinformation about the hours. They are open for about 2 hours a night Tuesday-Saturday and I guess for breakfast and lunch but the kids failed to tell us that. Didn’t bother to eat there.
It seems like the only reason that they were as full as they were was because there was a family reunion going on that week. They took up most of the space around us and some of the cabins as well. They had their dogs roaming off leash the whole time and no one said anything to them.
Overall I have nothing good to say. They were 18 miles from Yellowstone so not even that close. I guess we are lucky that we had a place to stay but for almost $90/night. RIPOFF!!!!!

Booked this last minute and thankfully they had a spot. But duh, it’s no wonder why. We read the reviews, so we had low expectations.
It was not as bad as we thought from some other reviews.
It’s run down as hec. Staff didn’t know how to move people around so we could check in when we arrived. Our neighbor had to move once he arrived and it was frustrating. There were plenty of spots.
The sites closer to the lake, you would be on top of your neighbors. Awfully tight.
Bumpy uneven roads. The most unlevel site we’ve ever seen.
Good spot if you want to boat or kayak.
Clean bathrooms, surprisingly!
Decent cell reception to work from. Good views and we could walk to the lake. 25 mins from west Yellowstone entrance. Not much else around.
Eat at the slippery otter and Buffalo bar! Good food and drinks. Buffalo bar has an outside patio area.
This place would be amazing if the right owners owned it. Overpriced for what you get but prime location and views. Dear owner, if you’re selling, call me!
