Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 05, 2022This is an easy access campground but does sit next to the highway. Was pretty quiet at night but during the day, trucks and cars using it to get to Alpine or Jackson. Not terribly bad noise in my opinion but it is there. I stayed on the upper portion of the campground because I was only staying 1 night but there are several sites at a lower loop right next to the river. Most of the lower loop sites were big enough for my trailer and several were big enough for something larger. The upper loop sites are mostly pull-thru. No showers here, only vault toilets.

Finally, a site easily found! We were looking for beauty, peace, and solitude. We found it along the Snake River among falling gold, orange and yellow leaves. Pulling a 27" Lance travel trailer (incl hitch), we had no trouble maneuvering the nice, wide loops. Our intended dry camping experience was exquisite--we'd have stayed longer had the rain stayed away. Some people mentioned noise, but the mighty Snake made more "river noise" than the cars and trucks crossing the bridge. It happens we like the sound of wind in the trees and rushing waterways. Lower sites without electrical are nicely spaced and landscaped; upper pull-throughs are closer together, but reasonable. We had great Verizon coverage: 3 to 4 bars continuously, and the price of our lot was a very pleasant surprise! Coming from the magnificent Tetons and Jackson Hole proper we were especially pleased with our discovery. Sadly, we could see no break in the weather so we traveled on... We will return to this beautiful fall campsite whenever we are in the area!

Nice campground right off the highway. Wasn’t bothered by any noise from cars. Our sites was right on the river. Really beautiful sunset. I would stay here again. Just spent one night passing through the area.

We pulled in here at 6pm on a Monday and it had a lot of open spots. We tent camped and pulled into a spot that could hold a smaller rv (husband said full sized) but it seemed more set up for tent only. The closest bathroom was outhouse style but very clean and one of the best smelling bathrooms! Our site wasn’t River don’t but there were a few that were. From what we could tell, the entire campground is first come first serve but I could be wrong on that. Right across the ricer there appears to be a large area for boondocking, it’s listed on this app as Below The Dam campground.

I was asked to camphost at one of their other campsites, so I met the host and another 'manager' for the area. I choose to 'free' camp whenever possible, but drove through here to meet the host and the manager. Nice little campground. Some 'First Come First Serve' sites with no hookups. If you're going to do that, just drive across the dam and boondock on the free land. Friendly hosts. Hookup sites by reservation only.

Decently level sites (used one board), some with electric others dry. Dump station and vault toilets on site. First come first served.
Only one site had water and electric. Dozen or so with electric 30 amp. There is a water spigot in front of the restrooms in the main loop (on a pull through). So pull in there and fill your tank before selecting a site and setting up.
Camp host on site. Bathrooms clean. Access to the river is easy. Campsites were clean.
$15 for electric with park pass. Think its $27 without.
Dropped calls limited to no signal on Tmobile. But 20 down and 4 up with LTE data (no booster just my hotspot)

We stayed here for 2 nights. Paid the extra couple dollars for electric because it had been raining and it was well worth it. The campground is basic. Good for overnight or if you fish
