Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 21, 2020Plenty of forest land just below the dam and behind Riverside CG, just across Snake River. The area is frequented by ATVs an motorcycles due to the trails that run through the area, so pick your spot according. Beautiful sunsets and stars every night. Verizon service was pretty good; around 10-15M, so no problem working or streaming tv. Wife has T-Mobile and her service was decent as long as she didnt move around too much once she got it. Definitely wouldn’t rely on it for working without a booster. Stayed in our 39’ fifth wheel with mo issues. Some areas are too hilly for bigger rigs, but some smaller units will be able to cozy right up to the Snake River!
Safe travels.

The Palisade Reservoir was amazing to drive past, and I would have preferred to camp there, but it was BUSY and crowded...NOT my thing. This place is pretty, no big views though, and right off the Snake River. The turn in is sharp, but easy and access to these sites is great for all sizes and types of rigs. The road in is smooth, and the roads and ground are covered in smooth river rock of various sizes. Tons of campsites, some right on the river, some in the open and quite a few in the trees. It is definitely used for OHV, but everyone has been very respectful of space and noise. I would suggest getting your spot by early Thursday for the best choices, as it does get very busy on the weekend. The downsides are the ants that seem to have been in every site I looked at, including the one I finally settled in, and there is a small amount of traffic noise.

On our way from Boise to Jackson Hole and was looking for an easy in and out. This is our first try with Campendium and was just spot on the coordinates and description. So thought we would add a couple new photos.

Only complaint would be you can really hear the highway even though it is over the River from here, but we did camp pretty close to the water.

The way in can be a bit rough, large rocks, varied degrees of sand but all in all not terribly hard to access.
Incredible views during the shoulder season.

We camped here in a 40' motorhome in September 2021. The road in to the boondocking spots can be a bit rough but we made it work. There is a paid-for campground nearby that has a public dump station which makes this an extra convenient boondocking site. Great location, nearby waterfall, beautiful scenery. Plenty of clearing for starlink to work perfectly.

We’ve been all over the US and this is one of the e best boondocking spots we’ve been to. Hundred of RV’s could fit here without being too close. Right on the beautifully clear river. Be sure to drive along the river for a ways before deciding where to stop. Internet on both ATT and Verizon were usable enough for work virtual meetings. Grand Tetons about an hour away and the mountain range south of here has fantastic views and hiking.
