Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on April 20, 2017We stayed here in the middle of October 2016. I can't remember the details, but I know our Verizon phone worked just fine. I'm pretty sure the ATT phone worked as well.
There was some winter weather moving in and we need a place to stop and work for a few days and this was great. The campground isn't large and there are only a few pull through sites, we were also the only people here. The reservoir was very low but the views were still nice. The campground is also right off the highway but noise was not an issue for us.

Even though the main road is super close, I wasn't bothered by the traffic noise at all. We arrived in Mid April to find no one else here. It remained like this for our whole stay. At this time of year there are no amenities, garage, water etc so as long as you are self-contained then you will be fine. Nice roomy sites however some may require some clever levelling. No trash, very quiet and great cell signal. Double and single sites available ($6 for single and $12 for a double) double being, enough room for a trailer/rv/motorhome and levelled pad for a tent also. Metal picnic tables and fire rings are on every site. We are in a 31ft travel trailer with a tow vehicle which makes us 56ft end to end and we were roomy in site A11. Some of the sites are small and wouldn't take much more than a 25ft motorhome. Nice walk down to the water, would stay again.

Host where super nice and helpful. Campground was clean and plenty of space between camp site with vegetation giving you more privacy. Enjoy my stay watch chipmunks and a pair of young eagles while enjoying the afternoon. The Campground is only 10 miles to Alpine, Wyoming. Think I was in site 10 it was a pull thru. It's First come First serve. A little noise from the highway but quite at night.

Though the campground was clean and well maintained, there was a public access/boat ramp that ran just by my campsite. Non-stop traffic and dust all afternoon and evening …on a Monday! I paid for two nights but left after one. Won’t stay there again.

We arrived and we’re having a lovely time. We put $10 in the slot and picked our spot. The lady came by around 7 and informed us that it was. It $8. Not $10. We owed her $40. We explained we only had cards and she told us to take our trailer and go 10 miles into town. I told her to give us a minute and we would try to find the cash. We dumped our purses, emptied all our bags and scraped the floor of my car for change, ALL WHILE SHE STOOD THERE AND WATCHED US AND YELLED AT US THE ENTIRE TIME. I assured her we would pay, but she wouldn’t leave until the site was paid in full. Website, after she left we looked it up, says it’s only $24 for a double sight, per BLM.org. I think she’s pocketing the rest. She hounded everyone at the campsite in the same way. Everyone rallies together and was very upset.
I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS SPOT!! Ridiculous, humiliating and unnecessary.

Great little campground. Took site 16 along the road to the boat access. Had maybe ten vehicles pass by. It’s mid September 2022 so suspect it would be more busy during the summer months. Host has been hosting for ten years and was very nice and knowledgeable. We had 3 Bar T-Mobile and 4 Bar Verizon. All the sites were nice but 16, 7, 9 actually allow you to see the reservoir. The water is down 30 to 40 feet due to the drought but still nice. I would return if back in the area.
