“unique and picturesque!”
Welcome to the unique and picturesque Badlands of South Dakota! The Badlands are not only known for their beauty but this area is rich in fossils, fantastic sunrises, sunsets and clear blue skies that stretch from horizon to horizon. This area is used primarily for ranching and therefore was shared by the cowboy and the Native American Indian. It was the Wild West where frontiersmen struggled to survive. The winters are cold and brutal and the summers are gloriously warm and dry with humidity normally less than 20%.
Great location and view. Owner was really nice and helpful. Tent camping about $20 a night. Better value than other places I went to. Wi-Fi may or may not work depending on where you are. Nice pool and campground sites weren't close together. Perfect space to pull my u haul and trailer with my car.
Good location to access the Badlands. Nothing special about the campground. Bathrooms were clean and kids used the pool. Very small site, needs new picnic tables and fire rings.
Great campsite with toilets, showers, all you can eat breakfast and cups of coffee. Had a lovely stay here, staff was friendly and there are cabins if it rains. There is a pool but didn't see anyone using it...
Three stars simply due to location. Interior is a bit of a shady location. The shanty town next to the campground adds a bit of Wild West feel. Sites are small. Seems to be a very transient campground. Staff is friendly. Skip the all you can eat pancakes with the 100 year old starter.
