“See the statue of Persephone”
Holcomb Botanical Garden Butler University is a 20-acre garden containing a statue of Persephone, a pond, and a local canal. This natural, open area is the site of many a lecture, public reading, biology study class or other gathering. Its goal is to preserve the representative flora of central Indiana, but you will also spy unusual species if you take the time to wander through these leafy halls. It turns out that communion with nature can be a huge enhancement to the learning process. Education in Indianapolis benefits greatly from the numerous and varied parks in Indianapolis. This natural, open area is the site of many a lecture, public reading, biology study class or other gathering. Butler students and staff are fortunate to have this wonderful salute to nature at their beck and call, a built-in opportunity to renew and restore.
