“East Coast brought to the Midwest!”
The Barking Dog brings the east-coast flavor to the mid-west with their delicious menu. They have amazing soups, one of which is the clam chowder and all of their ingredients are fresh and most are locally grown. Their yummy food definitely outshines everything else but their casual dining makes for a vacation-feel.
Anyone for Fish Tacos? Nicely seasoned Cod. lightly breaded and sauteed to flakey perfection served on warm Corn Tortillas with Napa Cabbage, homemade Guacamole and Pico de Gallo, finished with a Lime Crema and a couple wedges of Lime. A great way to start things off this week!
Our second Special offering this week, we're featuring our "Bark Lard" BLT as did Food Network's "Triple D"! Thick slices of our own in-house cured Bacon, fresh Lettuce and Jeff's homemade Tomato Jam.
Mary Beth's "Life' a Beach" Sandwich! Featuring Capriole Goat Cheese, Red Onion, Tomatoes, Avocado, Cucumber and Sprouts served on buttered and toasted Multi-Grain Bread. Or if you prefer, for a little extra, add a couple slices of "Bark Lard". Both sandwiches are served with your choice of MB's Cole Slaw or Chips and Overnight Pickles.
The Barking Dog was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives!
This place is awesome! My favorite Minestrone soup is here!
