“Ghost tours of independence”
Established in 1827, Independence is known for its most famous son, President Harry S. Truman; and for being the hub of the pioneer westward trails. Independence has a mysterious side; that of the paranormal. We feature stories from the courthouse, town square, jail and cemeteries. Learn about the haunted doll, a ghostly mail clerk, and the haunted inn. Must be older than age 12. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Tours depart from the Courthouse Exchange. Reservations are required.
