“wonderful drive-in experience”
In 1949, independent theatre owners, Sidney and Ida Cohen expanded their family owned and operated business by opening the Hyde Park Drive-In Theatre. Then, in 1955, they added the Overlook Drive-In Theatre. At the present time, both of these drive-ins continue to be family owned and operated.
Less than a two-hour drive from Manhattan, and situated on 12 acres, with an 82’ wide screen and a capacity for parking 670 cars, Hyde Park Drive-In provides you with a wonderful drive-in experience as it was during the heyday of America’s love affair with Cinema al fresco – when the vast grass field beneath the huge screen was dotted with hundreds of people outside of their cars, on blankets and lawn chairs on a hot summer night.
Although this location has a large capacity, please plan on arriving early during peak season in order to secure your spot! During our open season, we are always lit with a double feature, at a cost that is less than a single feature in most indoor theatres.
