“Food & Drink in Huntington Beach, CA”
Ruby's Diner is a Southern California institution famous for its burgers, shakes and classic American comfort food served in a retro, swing-era atmosphere.
Definitely worth the hike out to the end of the pier, if you've paid to park and shop and go to the beach anyway.

Thought it was crap. Fish had been Frozen so it was watery and soggy when cooked the chips were soggy not crispy. Long wait thinking it must be good. I think long wait because there is nothing else to choose from.
Would not return or recommend.
Ate here about 6 months ago. Worst fish and chips. Frozen mushy fish greasy chips/fries. From a place on the water I expect fresh food. Was also a wait for table to find that when we got seated there was many free tables. Service was poor and slow.
Thickshake was good though. Very thick.
It's a one-of-a-kind location and has a rep for being seriously cute and on a pier. In other words, it's not your hole-in-the-wall find but if you've got a few mornings in the area definitely spend one of them here.
Local chain with a great location at the end of the pier. Because of this, it gets a little crowded and the service and quality of the food kind of suffer. The burgers and fries and shakes are good, but nothing to freak out about.
