“Conserve, educate and inspire”
We have approximately 25 different species of raptors for you to see and learn about along our 3/4 mile outdoor nature trail, set up similar to a zoo. Experience educational exhibits like Family Corvidae and Raptors of the Silver Screen, and enjoy our special programs like our Summer Flight Shows.
This is a great place for young and old to spend as much or as little time desired. Plenty to see for everyone with benches to rest along the trail and a raptor presentation to educate visitors. My family enjoys it so much we returned several times while visiting in the area. Chicago Generations (6 yrs to 75 yrs)
I had a 11,8, and 6 yr old. I thought it was pricey for a self guided tour but understand the fee was to help support the care of the injured birds. There is also a civil war museum and fort nearby that was interesting at $7 fee each person. The kids were entertained and the raptor center took us 45 minutes to complete.
Nice place to stop and stretch your legs. There horse back riding, fishing, nature center, several trails to enjoy a stroll or even a short hike. There are some nice picnic areas as well. Enjoyed our time here.
Great place to stop and stretch the legs during our trip. Not far from the highway and educational too!
