A nice big pull through site on grass. Staff was friendly enough. The facilities were pretty tired, and the free continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. It looked like they were in the process of making some improvements, so maybe it's on the upswing. I was there in Jun, 2017.

The previous reviews do not reflect the current status of this RV Park as of this writing (July 2020). The campground is in a great location a short drive to Hungry Horse Dam and Glacier National Park. The sites themselves are fairly spacious compared to other parks in the area though parking for tow vehicles is tight and therefore can make navigating the park in a big rig a little more challenging than would desirable. Hookups are in the correct location and the office and lodge are new and welcoming. The swimming pool provides a welcome respite after a long day of exploring. The bathroom facilities while clean are in need of an update. Overall this is a good park and we would return.

This park was super accessible to GNP and is right next to Willows, that has wonderful ice cream and huckleberry treats. They have a playground, heated poll and gift shop in the office. The laundry room only has 2 washers, but reasonably priced and I got lucky to not have to wait for a washer due to the limited number so there were no issues. There is a grocery store that's walkable.
Although a fairly small trailer, it was quite difficult to get into our site for our size (26'). We had to get permission to pull through some of their nice grass behind the office to pull through in order to get parked, although it was intended to be a back-in... not for us. Luckily they were nice about helping to get us parked. Once we were nestled in, it was fine, it was just a bit tight. They pack them in successfully throughout the park though. It was a shady place and also a great bike path right in front of the park that goes for miles and miles. Friendly staff.
Giving it a 3 out of 5 due to the tight fit, the wifi was terrible (it would randomly work slow), except on the porch of the office, and not the cleanest laundry room. I wish it were a little cheaper as well.

This park is under new ownership. They have upgraded all of the electrical and plumbing to the sites. The staff is impressive when it comes to taking care of guests They were booked up for two of the six nights we wanted to stay there. They had an overflow spot they moved us into so we didn't have to leave for two nights. The stay was more enjoyable because the sites are all grass, They have a playground for kids, badminton, and frisbee golf. There is some excellent fishing a 10-minute walk from the park. There are a couple of restaurants within a 10-minute walk. There is an off-road vehicle rental place a half mi le from the park. We had a blast checking out numerous roads in the mountains surrounding Hungry Horse.

What a great campground and the staff the run it! That should be enough, but I will elaborate. First of all, if you are coming in from the west on Rt 2, Google Maps will tell you to go past the entrance and make a u-turn. Technically, yes, per the lines on the road. But you can turn left into the driveway without the u-turn.
The drive around the campsites is gravel. The grounds are very well kept. The sites are all grass and no rugs are allowed. The water pressure is great. The spigots already have pressure regulators screwed on. The power pedestal, water spigot, and sewer opening are all grouped together towards the middle to front of where your trailer will sit. If your sewer hose is not long enough, you will only be able to back into the site so far. That was us. The wi-fi was strong. There is a great playground including a 3 goal disc golf course, a communal firepit, and a nice pool.
A small grocery store is just up the street. For bigger stores and services, Columbia Falls is a 15 minute drive away.
My only complaint was our neighbors for 3 nights. They would return at 10:30pm-ish and were loud well after 11:30pm and one night midnight. No one from the park management is patrolling to ensure the 10:00pm quiet time start is enforced.

We stayed for four weeks at Beargrass in August 2021. It is a beautiful, lovingly maintained, family-operated RV park (and motel) conveniently located just 10 miles from the west entrance to Glacier National Park. Large, mature trees shade most of the 30 or so sites, which are set well back from US-2. The owners, management and staff are all fantastic and highly focused on their guests' satisfaction. The owners, who bought the park in 2020, continue to invest in improving the facilities and infrastructure. All the electrical pedestals were replaced this year and upgraded to offer 50 amp service, and I know they have more upgrades planned. This is a great place to stay while exploring Glacier and the Flathead Valley, and we would definitely return next time we're in the area!

Being ten minutes from the Glacier National Park entrance, we thought we had it made, but there were a few things we weren't counting on when we booked with Beargrass. First, the neighborhood around the campground is very noisy. Unfortunately, it seems like the people living in the area love to drive their dirt bikes, ATVs, large, loud diesel trucks and cars in such disrepair they really shouldn't be on the road, in such a manner as to purposefully annoy the RVers. There is also the noise of daily living with lawn mowers, weed whackers, remodeling, tracker/trailer deliveries, garbage trucks, etc. There's also a train nearby. Noise happens at all hours of the day and night (loud diesel trucks seemed to like to zoom by the park at 2a). We found the noise to be fairly constant and quite annoying.
This next thing may not bother some but it's worth mentioning. All but a couple sites are fully grass. There are no markings for parking, which in and of itself isn't a big deal, but leads to the next issue. Each site is clearly marked by the electric box hook-ups (with arrows identifying each space) but people didn't seem to read. People parked at the craziest angles within their spaces and some even parked, crossing two spaces, encroaching on the next camper. We found this to be incredibly rude and thoughtless. Also, being in grass makes for a very wet/muddy site when it rains.
The laundry room has two VERY small washers and two dryers. Cost was $1.50 to wash and $2.00 to dry
There isn't a common area, indoors, to sit, have coffee, or use wi-fi.
Wifi signal is weak and non-wxistant near the back of the park (furthest point from the main building).
The bathrooms were clean but very cold. When the lights are turned on, the fan also comes on and cold air blows into the shower stalls freezing you out.
Staff/owners (couldn't tell which), were quite nice.

Nice little rv campground right off the road. Very nice office and store! The spots aren’t too tight but it not a woodsy campground! Just a good base camp to visit other areas!

We stayed two nights in Aug 23. It's a well kept campground. It's tight, but we made it work. You need to pay attention to the "RV Entrance"; otherwise, you'll miss it. It's a small sign. Laundry & bathrooms are clean. Nice pool. They have a nice fenced in dog area, as long as people pick up after their pets. We enjoyed our stay.

Great spot. Very clean and cozy motel room. We were off season but it looks like a fun spot when the weather warms up.
