“Barn Quilts”
Colorful quilt blocks found on barns; corn cribs and other farm buildings. Each quilt pattern has historical and cultural significance. Drive through the county to view quilts and enjoy the area's agriculture.
The quilts are pretty cool, but make sure you download the maps and barn guides (which are a little hard to follow) from the website. You really have to get off the main roads through towns and drive to the farms to see them--lots of backtracking and circling. (Although there are a few you can see just from the main road.) It's beautiful country and a nice drive. We rearranged our route to take a couple in and I'm glad we did.
