Our site was pretty level side to side, but it did slope back toward the water. The sites are very spacious so we were well away from our neighbors. The sites are gravel but the roads are all paved. The bathrooms/showed were spotless. We were well away from the road, so no road noise at night!! Google maps brought us in from the south end of the park, which would have been ok if we had had a reservation, but we didn't do needed to go to the office to check in.

Angostura has a number of campgrounds to choose from and I just picked this one at random. It's nice. The sites are nicely spaced but, some of them are not very level. I first pulled in 101 but my auto leveler had me 3 wheels off the ground and sloped down toward the lake. No thanks. I'm definitely here during off season and I've the campground completely to myself, except for the campground host. I believe the bathrooms have been closed down for the season. I'm hoping the dump station is still open - I will try to update this post if possible to report on that. Update - dump station is open but no water available.
The grounds are nicely kept, clean. 50 amp service but no water. There are a couple of spigots in the loop but the road is narrow enough that if you were filling your rig at one, no one could get by. There is potable water at the dump stations.
It is quiet here now but I suspect it isn't the case during peak season. A lot of boat traffic.
No pull through sites in this particular campground.
There are two access roads off Hwy 385. The one that is posted Angostura Reservoir, is the closest coming from Hot Springs but is more convoluted drive-wise. It does take you to the main entrance. The other is a bit further south (a bar/casino on the corner?) is a more direct route if you were going to Horsehead or Hat Creek campgrounds.

We had a great spot at Angostura in mid October. We had a lake front site and there are several available. All the campgrounds were quiet, but we heard thru the grapevine that summer and holidays, the park and the lake are part central. Most sites have electric, but no water or sewer. There is a dump station at each end of the park with drinking water available, however the north end dump station was closed for the season when we were there, so only south end open.
Our restroom/water at hat creek was also closed for the season, however other campgrounds appeared to be open along with vault toilets scattered throughout.
We were impressed with the area.
