“displays architectural influence from the Adirondack “Great Camp” style lodge of yesterday with large porches for relaxing and an interior setting of casual elegance”
At Greenwoods Bed & Breakfast Inn, our Finger Lakes bed and breakfast, you're invited to relive the Spirit that was America! Set in the western hills of New York's Finger Lakes region, our log inn displays architectural influence from the Adirondack “Great Camp” style lodge of yesterday with large porches for relaxing and an interior setting of casual elegance. Revisit a time where comfort and luxury coexist with nature creating the perfect symphony to soothe the soul and refresh the senses. Perched hilltop on seven acres overlooking Honeoye Lake and Valley, you will enjoy scenic beauty and serenity from the moment you arrive. Our quiet country setting is just a short drive from Finger Lakes attractions in Canandaigua, New York, including Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion, Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum, and Finger Lakes Gaming and Race Track. We are also minutes from Naples, known for its annual Grape Festival, local Artisan's Boutiques, and home to Widmer Wine Cellars, which is part of the Canandaigua Wine Trail. The Keuka Lake Wine Trail and the Seneca Lake Wine Trail are also within an easy drive. For the outdoor enthusiasts, we offer Cummings Nature Center, Letchworth State Park, and Watkin's Glen Waterfalls as examples of the many areas for walking and hiking. Wander the many antique stores in our area, like those on the Bloomfield Country Mile or visit our local farm markets. You can always just pull up a chair with a good book in the shade by the pond or slip into the hammock for a nap in the sun. You will find an activity to enjoy! Choose from five individually decorated guestrooms each with private attached full bath, luxurious queen-size feather beds, TV/VCR, central heat and A/C, robes and slippers, and some rooms with fireplaces. A variety of room decor offers you a choice, from soft yellow floral to an Adirondack-style room, complete with a log canopy bed. You will find the furnishings to include embroidered linens, hooked rugs, antique dressers, and a canoe bookcase. When you awake in the morning, sip a cup of fresh-brewed coffee by the wood-burning fireplace in our Great Room, which is always lit on cooler days. This is a great place to meet and socialize with other guests. Sneak off to our library/game room or enjoy the breathtaking sights from our view room if you prefer a quiet corner. Breakfast is always a celebration of food at our inn. A full breakfast is served in our cozy dining room with individual tables for two, close enough to visit with other guests if you choose, otherwise intimate enough for just the two of you. Breakfast begins with coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and warm scones. A choice of fresh juice and a fruit dish such as our poached pears with raspberry sauce, or peach soup with cardamom cream, made with peaches freshly picked from our own trees. The fruit course will be followed by a delicious entrée - maybe our ham and cheddar breakfast strudel served with a cheesy hash brown casserole or banana-nut pancakes with sausage hot off the griddle. An assortment of hot and cold drinks, fresh fruit, and crackers is always available in our Butler's Pantry. It is also stocked with wineglasses, and bottle openers for your convenience. In the afternoon, you will find home-baked goodies waiting for you. After your busy day, reserve a private moment to relax in the Jacuzzi located in our sunken garden. Greenwoods Bed & Breakfast Inn is a Non-Smoking facility with limited designated outdoor smoking areas available. We recommend heavy smokers seek alternate accommodations.
