“Kampgrounds of America”
The end of the road is the beginning of a great Alaskan adventure at this KOA campground and RV park, perched on the edge of Alaska's magnificent Kenai Peninsula. The campground provides a peaceful retreat in a truly remarkable setting. Gaze out across Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet, reveling in views of snow-dusted mountains, active volcanoes, fishing boats, surfacing whales and other wildlife. Terrific hiking trails lie just across the road. Downtown Homer is filled with great restaurants, local art galleries and museums. Visit the Homer Spit for more gift shops, local seafood and many activities, such as fishing, kayaking, four-wheeling and bear viewing. Take a ferry to the coastal communities of Halibut Cove, Seldovia and Kodiak. to see what Homer, Alaska and our KOA campground have in store for you.

Beautiful view, clean facilities and overall good camp. Typical of KOA. Some sites with fantastic views (not ours) but view only a short walk away. The popular Spit is crowded and dirty by comparison. Sure its and experience but for view and relaxation go her and drive down. Some highway noise until later at night if you are near the road.

Staff very accommodating and friendly! Clean facilities. Now for the RV site… fan-freakin-tastic!!! We got the best spots on the bluff overlooking the ocean and the mountains! The view is epic even from inside! Each spot on the bluff (and probably the rest of the park) has its own picnic table and fire ring on some nice green grass. We are coming back here for sure!!!

Very clean. They weren’t busy when we checked in so they let us pick where we wanted to park. Pleasant staff. Our site was pie shaped and could have been a little wider but we were fine. Would definitely recommend!

Prices for RV Parks in Homer have gone up. Seems like everyone was quoting $65 or more for FHU in late June. Thought I'd found a deal for an electric only site for $45, but... Turns out the electric only sites are backed right up to the highway instead of down over the bluff with the other sites. Cost me one night's reservation to cancel but at least we've got a spot (elsewhere) where we'll be able to get some sleep.

We stayed here on the lower bluff sites and while it is a typical AK campground (plain gravel, close, etc.) the view more than made up for it. Homer itself wasn't much being just another money grab tourist trap. The ladys went float plane bear watching, I went fishing, and we set around in the afternoon looking at the eagles and the view across the bay

The sites with full hook ups are the way to go here. We opted to do dry camping, and did not have as nice of a view as the full hook up sites. Not bad all in all though.

My wife and I come to Homer every year for the Fourth of July. We normally stay down in the Spit but this year, we decided to change it up and stay at the KOA Baycrest. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly. We were able to get a larger site down along the bluff, over looking the bay. We had eagles soaring overhead and were able to watch the boats come to and from Homer. The services worked great and we didn’t have any issues.
