“The result of a vibrant Finnish movement”
Mesaba Co-op Park was founded in 1929 by Finnish progressives to provide meeting and recreational facilities for its members. It has hosted many progressive organizations, activists, artists, politicians, union members, and the public. The Park is one of the few remaining cooperative parks in the United States. Guests come to enjoy the Park’s history, cultural legacy, and natural beauty. Mesaba Co-op Park’s facilities are well suited for use by groups. Arts workshops, community festivals, family gatherings, retreats, rallies, educational conferences, children’s camps, and wedding receptions have been held at the Park. You do not need to be a member to use the facilities, or to participate in activities. Mesaba Park could be the perfect meeting place for your group. Cabins and campsites are available by the day, weekend, and week. Use of the dance hall, dining hall, are available by special request. Contact the Park manager for availability.
