“at Hershey Gardens”
A statue was erected at High Point Mansion, Hershey, Pennsylvania, United States, then the home of Milton S. Hershey and his wife Catherine, to replace a more energetic fountain which displeased Mrs Hershey by spraying her favourite sitting place when there was a gust of wind. It is now in the Hershey Gardens. As Mrs Hershey died in 1915 this statue must be from that year or earlier.
Reviews
The boy with the leaky boot in the Hershey Gardens is not the original. It is a replica painted with vibrant blue and yellow and not what I thought I was going to see but the gardens are spectacular and the Butterfly House (Closes at 5pm in the summer) is worth a visit. Admission is 10.00 per adult. (Sorry, I don't know about children's rates.)
