We have camped here several times and have enjoyed every trip. We camp in the lower loop. The sites in the lower loop are close together and smaller than the sites in the upper loop.

we have camped here numerous times. Our favorite campsite is #30, it’s the most secluded in the campground. We also like site #34. This campground has two loops for RV camping. The lower loop is flat, upper loop is on a hill. The upper loop can accommodate larger rigs.

We stayed one night. The facilities were all well-maintained. We could see the lake from our spot #8! There was also well spaced out tent camping up the hill from the lake. Bathrooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly. Would recommend.

Nice park, very quiet during the week, more activity (kids and dogs) on the weekends. ZERO over the air TV stations, and ZERO Sprint cell coverage. Only 30amp electricity...and no full hookups available.

What a wonderful COE! It was very quiet during our stay. We did have a few families with some children, all well mannered and having a great time playing.
The park staff was wonderful and very friendly! The park is well kept and maintained. There was a company that came by and cleaned the bathrooms daily and did a wonderful job. The restrooms are a bit dark during the day as it looks like the lights are on timers and come on at nite... kinda odd but it works.
There are 3 large Restroom/Shower Facilities in the park, 1 in the Upper/Lower Section, by the boat ramp - 1 near the Dump Station and beginning of the Tent Section - and another at the base of the Tent Section and at the Swimming Beach by the Lower Boat Ramp Area.
We stayed in site #39 in the Lower section Loop of the RV/Tent camping area. The sites are a bit closer than other COE's but still very nice. Made it a bit tough to get a 40' 5th wheel in but it can be done.
The Upper section Loop is suited for larger rigs and further apart but more expensive.
All seem to have electric and water but no sewer hookup. There is a Dump Station near by and it is situated on a slight uphill getting to it but relatively flat at the station. It is doable for most but large rigs will need to take some smart maneuvering to getter done!
The sites all have a gravel base and pretty level, framed in recycled plastic 8x8 shaped timbers with a picnic table and fire ring. Very well done!!
The Tent Section is Awesome! All well spaced apart and along a hilly area of the park. Looks very inviting to come stay, if I were back tenting again! Only drawback is how far the Restrooms are from the sites but under the circumstances of the hilly layout, they had no choice. It is what it is!
Only received a few TV channels and Verizon was "ok" but not terrific. Hey, we came for the peaceful setting anyway!
The drive in from Hwy 220 on Henry Rd was good, once we turned on Knob Church Rd it was a bit tighter and hillier, so take it slow and easy, it's only 2 miles... take your time and arrive safe.
Have a great time!
Larry

We stayed here for 3 nights in October of 2022 and had reserved online. The nightly rate reflects any senior discount 7/or reservation fees averaged over our stay.
We had hoped for a pretty lakeside site - we could see the lake, but the level is low. The RV sites are closer to each other than our usual style, but we only had someone next to us for 2 nights. Some of the sites are up the hill a bit and would take a little strength backing in. Our site was level & long. Great price for W&E! Yes, the dumpstation is up a hill...
This campground has awesome tent sites up on the hill and along the lake - great place for tents.
Definitely windy, narrow roads driving in - use caution if towing or in a large RV.
Nice host - we enjoyed our stay here! Goose Point across the lake was our next stop and we felt a lot prettier.

We reserved online and booked site 54.
We have a small 19 foot Jay Flight. Site 54 is a tent site and should not rent out to rvs. It was very hard to back into since this is a one way street and 54 is at the very end.
We got it in there but just barely.

This is a well laid out campground, with good views of the Philpott lake finger. Hiking trails and beach were close by. There was very little cell signal, but just enough for me to work remotely while there.

We really enjoyed the dam, and stargazing there after dark, you could almost touch the stars.

A note on T-Mobile signal. I have a home internet box and a waveform 4x4 antenna, and couldn’t find decent signal.

I stayed here for a long weekend while working on my property. A convenient way to get a shower and clean bathrooms until I get my place functional.
