“Spacious and Popular Beach!”
Southwick Beach State Park is spacious and popular, known for outstanding swimming and sunning on its long sandy beach. Campers and day-users enjoy picnicking, hiking and games on the playing fields. The park is adjacent to the Lakeview Wildlife Management Area, home to the environmentally-sensitive coastal sand dunes. Park nature, hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails adjoin the wildlife management area and its trail system, which visitors are encouraged to use. During the winter, snowmobilers are permitted in the park. Deer hunting is allowed south of the park entrance in season.

Ratings Summary
We stayed here with our granddaughter for two nights. The first night we had 30 amp electric, no water or sewer and the cost was $35. We had to move for the second night to a dry camping site and the cost was $30. There are camp sites right on the beach but during peak season must be booked for a week. Most sites are grass and fairly level. There are a lot of tent campers with families. There are a lot of water fill stations and a RV dump. A lot of RV’s we’re using external black water tank. The beach is a nice shallow, sandy one great for the kids. The bathrooms and showers were clean, masks must be used when entering. Had a nice playground area for the kids. We would stay again

Stay at the end of season, the cell service was spotty. Got 1x with Verizon. With a booster was able to get decent 4g lte but not all the time. Lots of generators running during the day.

Amazing beach front sites if you stay on the water. The tap water here has a lot of sand in it (it’s brown). Fill your water at home.
