“full of family-friendly activities!”
Enjoy 'Fall in the Country' at a working family farm. Pigeon Roost Farm is in it's 31st year and still growing. Family-friendly activities include Fort Pigeon Roost, giant gerbil wheels, and a mini-maze for kids. Search the thousands of pumpkins for the perfect Jack-o-Lantern or pick-your-own from the field. Fall produce includes beautiful heritage squash, and many types of edible squash. Also available are birdhouse and decorative gourds, straw bales, Indian corn, corn shocks, and our very own pumpkin honey. Kids of all ages will love the 'Great Pumpkin Fun Center' with slides, tunnels, corn box, straw maze and the 2011 Corn Maze. Enjoy duck races, the cornstalk teepee, 'Enchanted Forest', and scavenger hunt for the Golden Gourds. Shopping is fun at the farm with 6 shops of fall decorations and crafts. Granny's Kitchen is filled with unique preserves and tasty snacks, and the Bathhouse has handmade soaps and candles. The little ones can find special treats in the Kids Korner. You can even pick out your halloween costume and spooky decorations in the Big Barn Loft. The best part of a farm is always the animals. The goats frolic on a goat walk and rabbits bounce around Bunnyville. There are many barnyard animals including turkeys, geese, chickens and even camels to enjoy. On weekends enjoy wagon rides, face painting, kettle-cooked food, Kettle Korn, and a variety of refreshments.
