Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on April 13, 2024We got a full garbage bag of cheap beer and Mountain Dew cans out of this place.
A whole night’s worth of free wood, too. Someone had been stuck here recently, so it was kind of torn up but a pretty enough spot to camp, with a view of the lake. We saw two other cars the entire time. Like the spot just up the road, lots of road noise but you can let it fade to background. Very fast Verizon service here in particular.
On the way in from US 70 there are two other spots as well, one with a bunch of rocks stashed there likely for road maintenance, one that’s nothing all that special, a wide spot in the road. The dispersed camping areas all have signs that declare them to be so. Another sign on the way in read “Accessible Access” and could have been a dispersed site, though all of these sites are very level, fairly hard packed, and very wide so it would seem they were all accessible.
This specific location was the best in my opinion, especially now that there’s no trash left there. Not sure why folks can’t pack it back out, there’s a Love’s just 10 minutes down the road where you can toss your garbage. I mean, you’re probably going there to stock back up on Copenhagen, beef sticks and Mountain Dew anyway...

Game and Fish dispersed camping. Nice spot. 1st to your left off of Web Lake rd. Lots of trash that we cleaned up. Nice area for the pups to play. Quiet and pretty.

We traveled past the first lake on Webb until the second lake appeared at end. The view was GORGEOUS! We found a pull through site next to the lake that was huge. It was easily big enough for a big rig and the roads were as well. Our rig is 23'.
With exception to 2 beer bottles and 1 Mountain Dew bottle, the site was pristine.
We were the only campers in the park. You can barely hear I45 . It sounded like soft wind. We had a fire ring, but no picnic table.
For the most part, the park was clean. I did pick up a few beer cans I saw.
Definitely a hidden gem!

I arrived after dark and the spots are a little hard to find but are marked with blue paint on trees and a small board. The road to the site is 2-3 miles of dirt with a few puddles but AWD is not required. A little noise from I-40 but not noticeable. Some rude campers decided to pull into the same camp spot in the middle of the night and started setting up a tent so I moved to a different site but all the other campsites looked good and occupied by either RVs or Vans or SUV. Overall, a pretty good spot off of I-40 and would camp again.
Excellent TMobile speeds over 100Mbps download.

Spent the day here. The lake was so pretty, only one other camper was around. It started to rain so I left because I was worried about getting stuck in the mud.

Great spot just off I40. Can hardly hear any of the I40 traffic. We stopped here for overnight. No one around. I did have to pick up some trash, but that’s it every spot I tend to visit.
