“The worlds longest concrete and masonry arch bridge”
The Rockville Bridge, at the time of its completion in 1902, was, and still remains, the longest stone masonry arch railroad viaduct in the world.
Very cool site to see. This bridge is an icon of Central PA. Even if you are just passing through stop and take a look. It is a must see for train enthusiasts and has easy on off access to major highways.
Very cool bridge. It only got four stars because of the inaccessibility when trying to stop for a picture. Head over to Fort Hunter Park in order to get a decent one.
It’s definitely worth stopping at Fort Hunter Park (as suggested previously). It’s a nice park to walk around, and you can take some pictures of the bridge, too.
Really cool but hard to find a good spot for a photo
