I had read reviews that mentioned you could literally reach out your window and touch your neighbor's coach if you took your screen out. I could see that that was true with the other spaces. Then finally we got neighbors. Basically both coaches need to be hooked up to the same utility station. And yes, you could theoretically TOUCH your neighbor's coach from your own if you were so inclined. And being so close, you can hear even the quietest of neighbors at times.
The upside to this, is that there's a decent amount of space on the other side of your RV. And in our case, we didn't have any neighbors in the other direction.
Also the young people running the place were nice. The campground was a full $10 less per night than any other places in the area. It's a quick drive into Harrisburg, Concord, or Charlotte, and it's very close to the NASCAR track. There's plenty of open space around the campground, but I'm sure it's packed on race days. Wifi was pretty good, although it cut out completely at times.

When you get there or just before you will need to call them so they can come out and take you to your spot. When it’s busy I could see where it could be really tight but we were there for Dead and company and it was not busy at all. We had spot 36 which faces the partial hook up spots and the full hookups and on the back of us was an open field that looks like it’s set for Boondocking? Sun in the morning hits the back of your camper and mid day you get full sun on the front which put us in the back after mid day and had a pretty view of the field and trees. I will stay again for shows or to visit family in the area. Dogs are allowed, staff is friendly and was helpful but we didn’t need to interact much! Our spot took a little leveling but wasn’t bad.

My wife & two boys were passing through Charlotte. 40 ft 5th wheel fit perfect & couldn’t beat the nightly rate. Kevin is the owner & lives on the property. We felt safe & welcome here. Definitely recommend 🙌🏽

Sites are just down from racetrack. Grassy areas with water and power. Some sites need a bit of leveling. We were in #44 and able to pull through our 32-foot travel trailer (#37 was empty). These are sites with water and power for a very reasonable rate. Great for short stay base camp or overnight.

Yates Family Camping is located in near the Charlotte Motor Speedway. I made the reservation over the phone. There isn’t an office to check-in, but when we arrived, I called to let him know we were there. He came out and met us and showed us where to park. I paid with a check for our stay.
The sites are close together, with just a few feet in between for the slides. The lower (eastern) sites were unlevel and I don’t believe they were full hookup, but the upper (western) sites were level with full hookup. There is a dump on site on the south side of the campground.
We asked if we could change out truck’s fuel filters here and he said it wouldn’t be a problem. We disposed of the fuel at the recycling center in town.
We had clear skies for Starlink and got 103/8. Verizon gave us only 2 bars on the phone. With AT&T and Verizon through the cell antenna on the roof, we were able to get 5 bars. Verizon came in at (28/11) and AT&T came in at (22/26).

Great campground! Very friendly and accommodating staff! Rates are super reasonable, extra clean and nice flat gravel pads.
