We arrived during the day in 90 degree heat with our 43ft 5th wheel. Stayed for 1 day. Slightly shaded depending where you park & the time of day. Nice & quiet by the river. When you do come in & near the river. There are 2 paths that you can pull further back. 1 path has deep tracks in dents & path is not very even. Just get out to look 1st. We parked along side of the outhouse. This spot does get busy over the weekend with fisherman but it is pretty quiet still & still recommend it. (We arrived at 7 or 8 ish on a Saturday with 1 boat trailer.)

Good spot for a night or 2. Had no trouble pulling our 35ft TT down here. We could've parked on the side of the loop but decided to back down past the toilet and had a more private riverfront spot. We were able to get some service roaming with Verizon, could make phone calls and it was slow to search things on Google but not able to do much else. The shoreline was shallow enough for our dogs to enjoy swimming without worrying about the current of the river. Saw a bald eagle and was a pretty peaceful spot

BD only. Boat launch site. Very quiet. On the Bighorn River. Lots of history in area. Any size rig. Limited shade. There is a vault toilet.

Good spot for a night or two. It is flat gravel with no designated parking spots. There is a boat dock and a vault toilet. Lots of wildlife and very quiet at night. 5 day max stay.
Bigger rigs may have trouble with the tight turn onto the access road. Road to the site is well maintained gravel from the highway for about a mile.

The road coming in is a little beaten up and filled with potholes so you gotta take it a bit slow. The main site itself is just a small gravel circle by the river. Since we had a 30-ft RV, we didn't bother going into the more secluded branch-off spots on grass, which would be accessible to smaller vehicles. We didn't find any fire rings even though the signs mentioned them.
You can do some bird watching or fishing by river. When we camped there on a Monday night, there wasn't anyone around so we had the whole place to ourselves, which was nice.

We stayed here for two night during the week. This is a very quiet campground which can handle any size RV although there are fewer locations for larger rigs to park. For smaller RV's you can turn down the dirt roads either to the right or left along the river and have space to turn around. However if you are on the medium to large size I would stay near the gravel area. There is a single vault toilet, otherwise this a primitive campground. During the day the campground is frequented by numerous boaters using the boat ramp. The cell service was spotty at best, most of the time we had no service.
This campground is only 20-30 minute away from Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument.
The one downside to this otherwise peaceful campground is the amount of garbage. Based on the quantity and the type of garbage strewn about we guessed location is frequented by locals partying on the weekends. We left Friday morning so we can't say for sure.

This is a terrific FREE campground off the beaten path. You choose where to camp in the grass and park there. I chose a spot right on a bank above the Big Horn river. Beautiful view, but the mosquitoes were fierce and I’d never even dip my toes in that murky water. There are crickets everywhere, so zipping closed tents is a must.
When I was there, it thundered, had fierce lightning, and rained for four hours from a stalled out storm right above my tent.
Lots of wildlife—beautiful craines, a jackrabbit, and fowl. It’s a peaceful place and I was the only one there on a Tuesday.
Verizon had one bar, but mostly no service.

Great spot right on the water. We parked in the old boat launch that has now been graveled over. There are a couple more spots about 100’ down a rutted two track. Vault toilet on site. Lots of waterfowl, American white pelicans and resident muskrat. We had a beautiful sunset and rainbow after a storm.

Beautiful, quiet site beside the Bighorn River.
A very nice young family was fishing from the bank when I arrived. I did not check out the vaulted toilet, as I am in an RV, but the sign on the door does warn that it is not as clean as you might like because of limited services.

I was here Thursday & Friday night, no other campers. Three vehicles came in and out to launch boats. They were quick and quiet. Mallards landing road is the shortest route in on a well graded unmade road. Fabulous camping enjoyed here. I have a 40ft class A.
