The Lodge at Moosehead Lake

Travelers have been drawn to Moosehead Lake and its unique North woods setting for over one hundred and thirty years. Early visitors traveled by train and steam-powered “water taxis” to reach one of the many resorts that dotted the shores of Moosehead Lake. Most of those accommodations offered a no-frills hunting and fishing camp experience. One destination resort stood out from the rest. Guests of the Kineo House were immersed in the majestic North woods and the many outdoor activities it offered.
