Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on August 23, 2023I arrived on a hot Sunday to my pre-reserved spot unfortunately and most of the reason for 4 stars they wired the spot at the road not at rear of 60 foot back in spot. So I’m road weary trying to pull off ratchet straps to get to my ladder to get into my rooftop Thule for my never before used extension cord. Was advertised as 30 amp but 50 amp plug so gla I had a dogbone adapter. Clean and neat free showers for campers. Although cell service is not great.

How often do you get to camp in a brand new county park? This RV park opened in June of this year and is set up really nicely. It's tucked back in a wooded area of the reforestation area of the camp. You'll drive through a large parking lot for the New Zoo and Adventure Area to the back southern corner where a road leads you to the parking lot. The sites are good sized and fairly level interspersed wth some smaller trees. There are sites that are dry, 30 Amp & water, or 50 Amp full hookup. Two restroom and shower facilities are in the park with utilitarian but clean showers.
The campground is a part of 1,400 acres of reforestation with a multitude of hiking, biking, and horse trails. The adventure area and zoo offer a unique experience to explore from other campgrounds. I enjoyed the occasional, distant sound of monkeys while having dinner; who needs to camp in the tropics!?
We had coverage with both our AT&T hotspot and T-Mobile phones. It was 1-2 bars so speeds were averaging around 27 Mbps download. It's not the best but we could make phone calls and get on the internet.
I have a feeling, as people learn about this campground, it will get busy.

Finding entrance was difficult as Google maps didn’t have the exact location, it’s at the top of the hill before you get to the zoo. Great spots with nice spacing but not completely level and ground was soft from rains. Can hear zoo animals which was fun! Was very empty the two nights we were there, close to Lambeau field! Wish we had more time to tour the zoo.

Had planned on traveling further north but got tired and stayed unexpectedly at this campground. Very nice surprise. Easy to find, large signs from highway and good signs once you get by the zoo (goto zoo parking lot)
Had trouble with the website.. phone number format is (111)111-1111 overwise it won't let you proceed.. we were the only ones there except for the nice camp host (Peter).. decided to just pay for site in morning.. ranger was there by 8am and was very nice and friendly, helped with the payment app
Nice loops for navigating the campground.. firewood for sale, firepits and decently level sites. A few pull throughs with full hookups
Neighbors are close but no worse or better than most campgrounds
Saw deer, geese and heard the zoo birds and animals. Didn't have time for the zoo, but next time we will!

Oh my gosh, we were sitting around the campfire about 8m and we could hear the lions at the zoo. What a feeling. Pretty sure I'll never be able to camp on the Savana in Africa so this is the next best thing. ha ha
Campground is new, sites are spacious and pretty private. some have just electric and water, others have full hookups. not much shade as the trees are still young. roads are crushed rock which keeps dust down. campsites are pretty level. I did find it odd the electric and water hookups in many of the sites are at the front of the driveway... so bring a second power cord and longer than normal water hose.
It was very quiet at night, except the lions during feeding hour. site hint: the further in from the entrance you go the better off you'll be (quiet and private)... very dark at night, great for seeing the Milky Way.
sites 20-32 have electric and water, sites 33-47 have full hookups and are a bit more 'out of the way'. sites 1-19 are pretty open.
Green Bay is only 15-20 minutes away.

This is a hidden campground that’s very quiet and clean. Verizon service was in and out but hotspot worked. The campground also picked up about 38 air channels. Full service hookup in the back of the campground and spot was a little unlevel. Everything is booked online and went straight to campsite.

The campground is great! It has easy access, large spots, and the facilities are well maintained. If you are staying in the Green Bay area, this is a perfect campground.

Don't get confused like we did, you do pull I to the zoo parking lot, and cross to the other side to the entrance to the campground. The campground is obviously newer, in the best way possible. Very clean and well planned out, nice new pea gravel on every site. Beautiful rv spots, lots of forest with hiking and biking trails (separate). Zoo and adventure park are within walking distance on a trail that cuts through the woods right behind the campground. We did the canopy walk, which was so fun, very pleasant for us as we don't have kids camping with us and didn't want to go in the zoo. We could hear lions at night from our site, so cool!

What a great campground. Just outside of green bay by about 15 minutes, this location is isolated and rural but still close to town. Good hiking trails (well marked), great new bath houses with bathrooms and individual shower rooms with separate exterior doors. Well maintained with good gravel spaces. We had 30 amp and water/electric only but the bath houses were really ideal both in terms of location and cleanliness/maintenance. Hiking trails were fun to explore - animal tracks are abundant. Lots of biking. So dark at night and there are many stars visible. The park is well treed and close to the zoo. We will be back to this location as our preferred GB spot. It's also very close to our favorite little Green Bay deluxe grilled cheese place, the 888 cheese company at Lineville and 41.
Starlink had great service, between 10-100/5-50 depending on the moment. Tmobile home internet gateway got consistent connection, saying that it was getting a "good" signal (3 bars) and speeds of between 3-12/2-5.
