A scratchy place for sure. Trash cans overflowing, some dubious mining operation across the street, junk (I suppose to some it is historic debris) everywhere. If Goldfield once had historic charm it has since faded. We had to leave early and owner assured us that he would refund one night. Several conversations and weeks later he did not. So that's on him if he wishes to keep his word or not.

Located next to the US Post Office, the park sits atop the hills of Goldfield with a beautiful view of what once was Nevada’s largest city. This former mining town was wiped almost clean by fires in 1923, but what remains is a well preserved bit of history, and it’s obvious the locals take pride.

Sites are dirt/gravel, wide, and very long - my 27 foot trailer and F-150 barely take a 1/3rd of the length. Reasonably even sites. 50 amp circuit, full hookups, well maintained. Site markers use some of the old stuff left from the miners, so you’ll see rusty old cans and relics at the trees at the front and back of each site. 12 total sites, very private.

Easy walking distance to the historical sites of downtown.

If you are coming in from the south, be sure to stop in Beaty NV for gas. From the north, Tonopah. There are NO gas or groceries in town. Also speed limit in town is 25 - FOLLOW IT. Rural Nevada down US 95 gets almost all of its income from speed traps.

Side note: It appears that there’s some sort of rivalry between This place and Clark’s Custom Camp right down the street, one sided. Clark’s put up a sign as you enter the park saying you missed the park and to turn around. This is a bit childish IMHO, and Goldfield RV Park is as nice as Clark’s, has wider and longer spaces than Clark’s, is off the highway, and is very comfortable and quiet.

T-mobile and Verizon note: You may need to allow roaming for your device here. IDK why. Works fine as soon as you say yea, go ahead, “roam” on Verizon here in the US. Insert shrug here.

Your basic full hookup RV park. You can self book online with a credit card for $35 or pay cash on site $30. 10 sites total often fills up fast in spring through fall. Good idea to check online. Most all sites are pull-through some of the maneuvering is tight for longer rigs as there are pine trees fringing the camp and also some tricky power posts at site entrances so judge your moves and turn wide. All gravel spots that are roomy compared to most RV parks. Plenty of room for your table and chairs and even your towed without disconnecting! You are up on a hill with a fantastic view of Goldfield on one side. A historic city, once the largest in Nevada that is mostly a ghost town now. On the south and west side you have a rugged ridge and open desert view that often has wild donkeys, horses and antelope that come to drink at the springs in the ravine near the RV park. Pet friendly. Please clean up after your pet in the park, but plenty of open land all around to run free, poop and pee. Miles of OHV trails to explore, you can start at the camp drive two blocks up to the ridge and there you are. Limitless rockhounding and exploring. Interesting native vegetation includes Joshua Trees, which is a tall, branching yucca, aromatic rabbitbrush and sagebrush, a few cacti. It is very dry here. What's great about this RV park compared to others is you are a quarter mile off of 95 so no highway noise. No strict unreasonable rules for check in / check out, the host(s) are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Full hook ups, most even have 50 amp. Water and sewer at every site, there is WiFi. If you have an RV what more do you need. There is a coin laundry across town at the Santa Fe Saloon and hotel. Currently no regular stores or gas but a truck stop is coming. There is a small corner store with a few items and necessities. Emergency fuel at the Mozart Tavern and occasionally the camp host. One diner, two bars, gift shops and a unique radio station KGFN Radio Goldfield 89.1 "Voice of the Old West". Goldfield is the county seat of Esmeralda County and they still use the stone courthouse that was built in 1908.

We stayed here on our way South. Most of the sites are pull through. We got a 30amp. But 50 amp sites are available. The gravel sites were pretty level.

Staff were laid back. We picked our own site. Use the registration board. We missed it.

It was very quiet. We had a lovely evening. Even slept in!

The stars were amazing. The signet flying down the Milky Way was almost straight up! The infrastructure was just fine. Everything worked. The WIFI was a bit slow. Lots of buffering. The local radio station was a delight.

Goldfield was quiet with most of the things one would need. Lots of history. Lots of rockhounding. Lots of ATV trails. We’ll be back when we have more time.

This was a great place to stop for the night. Large pull through spot. We didn’t unhook. Plan on stopping again and hopefully spending more time.
