Founded in 2008, the Godley Red Carpet Corridor Committee Inc., also known as the GR3C, is a not-for-profit organization based in the Village of Godley, Illinois. Godley Museum Project came into being on Monday, January 24, 2011 when the Village Board voted to go ahead with the project after it was presented by John Weiss, Preservation Chairman of the Route 66 Association of Illinois. Name changed, February 20, 2011, to Illinois Route 66 Mining Museum.
