We stayed at a hotel (Hampton Inn Newcomerstown, OH,) that didn't have a lot of restaurants around besides fast food. We were looking for more homemade type/local fare for dinner after a day of fishing on Leesville Lake. We were pleasantly surprised to find Tents of Grace Cafe. It was only a 10 minute drive from our hotel. The owner took our order, and put everything together quickly. She was very helpful, nice, and accommodating. There were quite a few selections for a mom and pops place. We had trouble finding a menu online, but if you call them, or go in an order, it doesn't take long at all to get your food. We had a burger/fries, egg salad sandwich on sourdough bread w/cottage cheese, a large chef salad, a coney, coconut cream pie, 2 brownies, and bottled drinks (2 Mt. Dews, & Tropicana cranberry juice.) Some of the other options were: wraps, subs, pulled pork, fish sandwhich, cheese sticks, fried mushrooms, various flavors of ice cream, and more. There was plenty of seating indoors, even though we got ours for takeout to the hotel. Everyone loved their food. The prices are great and very affordable. They were open until 7 PM the day we went, (Wednesday.) We would definitely return if in the area again, and highly recommend to anyone in the area.
