“Among one of the oldest rivers on the continent”
A rugged, whitewater river flowing northward through deep canyons, the New River is among the oldest rivers on the continent. The park encompasses over 70,000 acres of land along the New River, is rich in cultural and natural history, and offers an abundance of scenic and recreational opportunities.
Great park, very relaxing.. Take a quick swim in the river or just relax in a chair. Rangers were very alert and kind. Perfect stop for a overnight camping trip.
Worth the stop for sure!
Great photo ops!
Couldn’t see the bridge through fog/weather—which was unlucky, but this is apparently the case sometimes: if this happens it completely wipes out a visit here
We loved it here! Such a beautiful spot, and we'll maintained.
Beautiful park! Worth a stop if you are doing an east coast trip.
