“take a lake break!”
Moncove Lake, which encompasses 144 acres, provides fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, bluegill, trout, catfish, and in 2006 walleye were stocked in the lake. There is a 24" size limit and two fish daily creel limit for walleye taken from the lake.Rowboats and paddle boats can be rented for a nominal fee. Visitors are welcome to bring their own boats, providing that they meet all state regulations and use less than a 5 hp gasoline motor. A boat ramp is available. No lake swimming is allowed. There are five hiking trails on the park and surrounding Wildlife Management Area that guests can enjoy. The trails are relatively short with the longest being around 2 miles, although the terrain may cause them to seem longer. Anyone interested in longer or sustained hikes may want to investigate the nearby Allegheny Trail on Peter's Mountain which runs the length of the state, the southern terminus of which connects to the Appalachian Trail. While hiking in our area, you are almost certain to encounter some of the wildlife found here. Be on the lookout for white-tail deer, turkey, fox, bobcat, coyote, squirrels, chipmunks, and beaver.

We have Class B and it was a little dicey getting in from I-64. I’m guessing bigger rigs would want to come in from the other side - not sure what that’s like. We saw some big Class A’s camping.
Small campground on a beautiful lake. The young lady at the office was very helpful, suggested us taking a better site.
Dump station is near quite a few sites and many of them are pretty close together.
It was very quiet and have the feeling you were deep off the beaten track - which you are!
No cell on Verizon or AT&T but I think the office has WiFi.
We loved it and would love to return and spend a little more time.
