Fall Branch Falls is a fun hike with the kids. We went in spring after visiting Lilly Pad Village, which is just right down the road. I was able to do it with my 6 yr old and 2 yr old, easily.
If you stop at the parking lot marked "Aska Trails" you can take a much, MUCH longer and much more challenging hike to the falls. Watch out for bears and wild pigs.
This hike on the Benton MacKaye Trail is short, beginner-friendly and packed with classic North Georgia forest beauty. The hike to the Fall Branch Falls cascading waterfall is all uphill, and mildly challenging, but well worth the effort: the waterfall’s double cascades are simply beautiful.
Mossy forest, a clear mountain creek, gnarly-branched rhododendron and sweet-smelling Georgia forest air are all highlights on this great hike – not to mention the beautiful waterfall.
