Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on November 05, 2022We are new to the RV life style. We traveled to Franklin N.C. A couple weeks ago and stayed at Grear Outdoors RV Resort. We were greeted by gracious hosts who were also the owners. Polly was great explaining the rules and amenities to us. Mike arrived and escorted us to our site and helped us me park. The park was very well organized and maintained as Mike continues to work throughout our entire visit. Questions and concerns were answered immediately. This was our first visit but not our last. 5 Stars!!

This is not only a Beautiful park, but very clean, quiet and friendly. The only problem is the very weak cell service and Internet.

Very clean, comfortable and quiet campground. Great area and very nice people. Had a good weekend.
But very slow Wi-Fi - about 2MBPS - painful. Good signal but no speed. No cell coverage on Verizon - sometimes one bar on 1X, but not always.

First time staying at The Great Outdoors RV Resort but certainly won't be the last. Spent 4 nights in the middle of a planned trip so we couldn't extend. The new owners were very visible and always eager to make our stay better. The roads are smooth, only about 3 months old and the sites are clean gravel. Sites are large enough for most rigs. Large grassed bark bark and next to laundry is a dog wash station.

Stayed her fri-sun and it was great. Paved roads, gravel sites, friendly staff, shade, quiet, clean bathhouse. Did I mention great staff. We got delayed on our way in so we called. They told us to take our time and be safe. When we arrived we were greeted warmly, escorted to our site and guided in. They brought us a firepit and wood while I was setting up. We would camp here again.

This is an RV tiny homes community, which in its category is excellent. But as a campground it lacks the typical small conveniences one expects, e.g. Internet, Wi-Fi, service-oriented personnel, no guide to the site, no trash removal, dirty laundry room, etc. It is convenient to I95 and there’s an inordinate amount of ’nature’ all around but otherwise you are on your own. We couldn’t wait to depart. At $90 a night, it should come with at least a few dancing girls, not swarms of mosquitoes!

Too many campgrounds in western NC are nothing more than patches of mud and grass that have 30/50 and water- and you still pay a premium. This isn’t that at all. The spaces are all finished well; level with compacted gravel surfaces. Ours has a wood deck as well, along with a nice picnic table and a portable fire pit. There’s plenty of room and sites are thoughtfully spaced.
Facilities are newer and well kept up. The laundry is reasonable, and the bathroom and showers are spotless.
Pool looks good, though doesn’t open til May 1. The park store has plenty of items, from foods to rv products. And the staff is friendly and kind.
The grounds are really well maintained with flowering trees, flowers, etc. And all roads have been black topped recently.
Probably the best park we’ve visited in NC, and a deal at the prices they charge.
