Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on December 21, 2022A military-only campground on Fort Stewart, with full hookup for $25, or electric and water only for $22. Located a few miles from the garrison, alongside a pretty lake. Sites 2 through 21 are well-spaced back-in sites with tree cover, mostly tall pines. Sites 22 through 30 are newer pull-through sites in an area cleared of trees. They will assign you a site when you call to make a reservation, but this may help you to steer them in the right direction for you. All sites have a concrete pad, with all roadways well-packed dirt. There are tent-only sites off to the side in a clearing, but when we were there, our neighbors set up two tents on the pad with no RV. There is work going on to improve the campground, which is good to see. The bath house is currently undergoing some work. Outdoor Rec is closed Tuesday and Wednesday, but you can check in with the campground host at Site 1. He also has the wifi password, and the internet was plenty fast for us. Our only complaint was the reliability of the electricity. We were hooked up to 30A, and blew the circuit breaker several times, whenever we used more than one or two appliances at a time (a single air conditioner, water heater, microwave, toaster). This has never happened to us at any other campground. Also, some of the electric/water sites have openings for sewer, but they have not been connected yet. Don't use them! All things considered, this was a good campground, and we would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed this campground. The sites were level and felt private. Nice bathhouse with hot showers. Free wifi throughout the park, and FREE laundry! You will get some noise from the military activities, but it wasn't bothersome.
While we were here, they decorated the place up and one night had hay rides though the Christmas decorations. Lots of fun.
Close to Savannah for visiting, there was decent hiking from the campground. I liked this campground alot and would gladly return.
Didn't try Starlink as there was free wifi, but in my loop it wouldn't have worked due to the trees. In the full hook up portion, it is wide open and Starlink would have worked just fine.

Showed up on a whim and was pleasantly surprised 8$ for primitive camping with 17 sites for primitive bath house and a laundry room free with your stay this place is awesome. Shopping is 17 miles to base or 19 to town all reasonable distance.
