“The biggest otter in the plains”
Named after the County that it is based in Otter Tail County. Sitting in Adams Park it was built by students at the local high school. It measures 40 feet in length and easily the biggest otter in the plains
Very fun! Stopped to photograph and play. Also a playground and nesting site for snowy egrets. Worth a stop.
Otto the Otter was a great stop on our road trip. He’s located in a huge park that has restrooms, a pavilion and a playground. For furry friends, there is ample room to stretch their legs and get some energy out. There is also a neat area where TONS of birds nest in a tree in the lake just a few dozen feet from Otto.
Only downsides are that you do have to go a bit off of the interstate to drive to Otto. There is also quite a bit of goose poop (which was a positive if you ask my gross puppy), but I did see someone going around trying to pick some up.
Overall worth a stop for more than just the photo-op. Just don’t go if you’re afraid of birds!
Super cute. My kids got a kick out of it and it wasn't too far from the expressway. There's a park, bathrooms and lots of birds to see.
otto is bigg an super duper kool yez !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Otto is “otter” this world! Check it out now! Also, lots of geese and egrets.
That is one big otter! Beware of the hundreds of geese surrounding everything! Yikes!
Good photo op in small town America. Good place to stretch your legs and relax.
This was a great stopping point to stretch your legs and a gorgeous little town park. Egrets were nesting in the trees and the park has great bathrooms. Especially if you're traveling with little ones, a great stop. My kids are practically adults and we had a great time here!
Dairy Queen across the street made for a nice evening snack while looking at the statue. The egrets were still nesting and were quite an amazing site. A very clean park.
Lovely spot with lots of shade. We stopped in mid-late June to see the otter and saw a siege of egrets (?) females and males, guarding about 20 nests of chicks. They were all in one tree on a small island; so beautiful!
