Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on October 25, 2020We reserved site #13 for a week and loved it here so much, we stayed another week.
There are 3 ways to stay here. RV sites, Cabins and a Motel way up on the hill. We had our RV. The owners, Charles and Jennifer could not be any nicer. Wonderful people who work very hard keeping this campground pristine.
All of the FHU utilities seem newish and worked flawlessly. The site was level and plenty large enough to stretch out. Our site had a picnic table and a fire ring. Firewood is available at the office. The Bath House has 5 separate rooms with a toilet, sink, shower and a bench.
There are walking trails through the Beautiful woods to stretch your legs and take your dog for a walk.
Our Verizon and US Cellular/AT&T both got good signals at our site.
The campground itself is on the Blue Ridge Parkway, a popular destination because of it’s abundant beauty, incredible views and wildlife.
I look forward to returning to this area and staying at this campground again.

My husband and I along with two of our friends camped here in mid July. We originally planned to only stay one night and within 5 minutes of arriving we adjusted our plans to add another night. It’s a quiet, Very clean, extremely well maintained, picturesque campground owned by two of the loveliest people we met on our journey. This site is positioned right off the blue ridge parkway and is close to wineries, breweries, and the new river where we went tubing-highly recommend!! It was great, after a long day in the sun, to return to such a lovely spot. On clear nights the view of the stars is insane and very romantic. We had a 30ft rv and it was very easy to pull into. There are also very cute cabins you can rent as well. We will most certainly be back!

I agree with the previous reviewers that the owners are super, the facility is clean and run well and that it is well positioned relative to activities. We were welcomed and made to feel at home.
Deer in the roadway less than a mile from camp was a nice treat. There are orchards on the grounds, which would undoubtedly be fun latter in the season.
On the down side however is the fact that access to the sites is somewhat difficult due to the topography of the campground. The sites are at the bottom of a gravel incline and somewhat close together. In addition, rain run off coming down the hill has left some serious washouts in the driveway, making fine point turning difficult on the inclines.
Camp WiFi is basically non existent without extender.

Sites #1-4 “up top” have nice views and aren’t crammed together. We were in site #3 and it was a GREAT experience! All of the lower RV sites were tightly packed in, & I would NOT want those.
The area is BEAUTIFUL in the fall, and clean with very friendly owners. There are several small camping cabins too which looked great w/ nice decks for sitting and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Bathhouse had 6 separate bathrooms each with shower, sink, toilet. Very clean!

Amazing service. Stayed at the bottom sites both bottom row and top row. Great both times with a 28’ Thor Freedom Elite. Amazing staff to help us on our first time out so we can back again and again. Great views just down the road for some coffee sunrises as a family
We really enjoyed our stay. Nice, clean, small campground. Very quiet and pet friendly. We stayed at site 4 and the views were amazing. We really appreciated all the grass. This was a huge bonus for us because we have dogs. We didn’t think all the gravel around the campsites was any different then staying at a KOA.
