Grimes point is an excellent spot for not only locals to visit but the millions who pass this easily accessible Native American historical site. You will find petroglyphs and caves dating back up to 12,000 years that were carved and used by the first people to inhabit this land. Artifacts and arrowheads are rare but can also be seen in their natural element, right where they were left. Though, please leave them in place! It is important to maintain whats left of our history and laws are enforced regarding disturbing these items and their land. I have visited many times passing through the area and highly recommend it to absolutely anyone! There are bathrooms and a paved road and parking lot. What more can you really ask for in the middle of the desert!
